Space Jam: A New Legacy is directed by Malcolm D. Lee from a screenplay by Juel Taylor; Tony Rettenmaier; Keenan Coogler; and Terence Nance. It stars James, Cheadle (the Avengers films, Hotel Rwanda), Khris Davis (Judas and the Black Messiah), Sonequa Martin-Green, Cedric Joe, Jeff Bergman (Looney Tunes Cartoons) and Eric Bauza (Looney Tunes Cartoons).
This live-action / 3DCG animated hybrid mashup should prove nostalgic for any fan of the original 1996 Space Jam, which starred basketball legend Michel Jordan. In the new film, Lebron and his son Dom have trouble seeing eye to eye, as Dom has little interest in being a basketball player despite his talent for the sport. Their relationship comes to a head during an argument when they are suddenly sucked into the “Serververse” by a nefarious self-aware A.I., AI-G Rhythm, who will only let the pair escape if Lebron beats his hi-tech team in a game of basketball. Lebron must recruit the classic rag-tag team of Looney Tunes characters from across digital dimensions to stand any chance against the digitally enhanced versions of all-star players starring in AI-G’s lineup. But Lebron will have to win more than just the game if he wants to return with his son. It’s tune vs. goon in this classic journey with a modern twist, where being true to who you are is the winning play in this zany family adventure.
Join Lebron and Bugs as they traverse the Serververse with a host of bonus features coming for Premium Digital on September 3 for .99 and for 48-hour rental via PVOD for .99 SRP on Sept. 3 and on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD beginning on October 5. There will also be a second collection of Space Jam inspired NFT’s on the social NFT platform Nifty, available soon.

Home Entertainment is releasing Space Jam: A New Legacy via Premium Digital on September 3, with 4K, Blu-ray and DVD coming October 5.
