Territory Studio has welcomed Colleen Butler as an executive producer in the company’s San Francisco office. Butler brings extensive experience from the entertainment, gaming, and publishing sectors. In her new role, she will oversee business development and outreach.
“Territory has an incredible body of work and an impeccable reputation,” shared Butler. “I look forward to growing the studio’s business and delivering compelling branded entertainment experiences that will engage and inspire audiences across entertainment, culture, commercial, and technology sectors.”
The studio was recently awarded the best UI for its LYRIQ EV project with General Motors, building in-car interface design for its first ever Cadillac electric vehicle released this year. Recent design and visual effects in film include No Time to Die, Mank, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Furious 9.
A Clio award-winning creative agency, Territory Studio, specializes in motion design, visual effects, and digital experiences. Credits include UI design, cutscenes, cinematics, and trailers for Sony, Nintendo, EA, 2K Games, and Microsoft, and real-world user interface design for clients such as GM, Toyota, and Land Rover.
Prior to joining Territory Studio, Butler co-founded Mutiny Pictures, a distribution company specializing in supporting independent and diverse filmmakers. One of Mutiny’s most notable releases is the crime thriller Equal Standard starring Ice-T. Her previous experience includes film marketing with IFC, Picturehouse Films, Miramax, Roadside Attractions, Fox Searchlight, and Focus Features. She is also former entertainment director of Los Angeles magazine.
