Apple TV+ has released a trailer for its upcoming 2D animated preschool series Duck & Goose, inspired by Tad Hills’ New York Times bestselling “Duck & Goose” books. The show celebrates two best-feathered friends, Duck and Goose, who don’t always see beak to beak. That is until they discover that embracing and appreciating each other’s differences can help them think up entirely new ideas to help solve everyday challenges, both big and small. The series premieres on Friday, July 8.
The show joins the expanding and award-winning lineup of original animated films and series for kids and families on Apple TV+ also includes the critically-acclaimed El DeafoPinecone and the PonyFraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy from The Jim Henson Company; Wolfboy and the Everything Factory from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD and Bento Box Entertainment; Get Rolling with OtisHelpsters from Sesame Workshop; Academy Award-nominated animated film Wolfwalkers from Cartoon Saloon; series and specials from Peanuts and WildBrain including Snoopy in Space Season 2It’s the Small ThingsCharlie Brownand For Auld Lang SyneHere We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning television event based Oliver Jeffers’ New York Times best-selling book and TIME Best Book; and Sago Mini Friends.
The show is one of the latest in Apple TV+ kids’ changemakers initiative, which brings together leading educators and storytellers to create original kids’ series. In this case, CUNY professor and Futures Initiative founding director Cathy Davidson, Ph.D., and Futures Initiative executive director and Transformative Learning in the Humanities postdoctoral associate Christina Katopodis serve as the transformative learning experts on the series.
