Director Mylene Cagnoli Joins Eddy Animation Roster

It’s only natural that Mylène has started to make a name for herself as a director. She recently collaborated with five other female directors on an empowering commercial for the clothing brand Gym Shark commissioned for International Women’s Day. She has also released a series of dynamic shorts with strong artistic direction and impactful poses.
We are delighted to announce that Mylène Cagnoli is joining the Eddy animation roster as a director.
Mylène joined Eddy in April 2021 and has hit the ground running, contributing the beautiful animated sequences to a 30” online spot for Facebook directed by Maxime Bruneel. She is also currently developing a music video to be released later this year.
She loves fashion – the styling of her characters as meticulous as any magazine photoshoot. Her interest in symbolism and nature brings depth and surprise to her compositions, which are far from being purely aesthetic. She cites director David Lynch, musician Grimes, and photographer Ren Hang among her key influences. These rich and diverse cultural references are clearly present in her unique baroque meets surrealist meets burlesque esthetic.
Mylène is already an established animator and artistic director with an impressive online following. Her bright, bold, and modern designs are uniquely Mylène. She explores themes and characters which resonate with the emerging voices of her generation, particularly regarding the themes of gender and racial equality and the LGBTQIA movement.
