Animaccord has secured a series of new French television deals for its flagship series, Masha and the Bear; existing spinoffs Masha’s Spooky Stories, Masha’s Tales, and the musical series Masha’s Songs; and new preschool spinoff, Nursery Rhymes.
Canal+ currently airs Masha and the Bear Seasons 1-3; Masha’s Spooky Stories and Masha’s Tales began airing June 1, with Nursery Rhymes and Masha and the Bear Season 5 set to begin airing July 1, 2021, and July 1, 2022, respectively.
NBC Universal, Animaccord’s long-term partner for DVD and VOD distribution, extended the contract for Masha and the Bear DVD releases, launching Masha’s Songs, Nursery Rhymes and Masha and the Bear Season 5 in French-speaking countries including France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Africa, and Canada July 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Masha is widely broadcast on both France 4 and France 5 channels and is also available on its digital platforms Okoo (FTV’s dedicated brand and platform for kids) and france.tv.
Seasons 1-4 of Masha and the Bear, Masha’s Spooky Stories, Masha’s Tales, and Masha’s Songs will continue airing on France Televisions in France, French overseas territories, Monaco, and Andorra. Nursey Rhymes, which just launched in April, is also now airing; Season 5 of Masha and the Bear, produced in 4K UHD, will join the group in Q3 2021.
