Originally set to air in 2020, Season 3 of Seth MacFarlane’s dramedy space opera spoof, The Orville unfortunately halted production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, a year and a half later, the much-anticipated new season is finally set to release March 10, 2022… on Hulu. This marks a first for the streamer; the series’ first two seasons aired on Fox. Fans of the show will soon see the ship and its crew continue exploring the galaxy on the popular streaming platform; Hulu just dropped a teaser trailer, featuring soundbites from the Orville’s command deck, to wet everyone’s appetite for what’s in store next Spring.
The Orville: New Horizons is produced by 20th Television and Fuzzy Door. The series was created and written by Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane, Brannon Braga, David A. Goodman, Jon Cassar, Jason Clark and Howard Griffith serve as executive producers. The cast includes MacFarlane as Capt. Ed Mercer; Adrianne Palicki as Cmdr. Kelly Grayson; Penny Johnson Jerald as Dr. Claire Finn ; Scott Grimes as Lt. Gordon Malloyl Peter Macon as Lt. Cmdr. Bortus; Jessica Szohr as Lt. Talla Keyali J Lee as Lt. Cmdr.
