The only other winner in the animated feature categories was Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon which won for effects simulation in an animated feature. Both Disney-Pixar’s Luca and Sony Pictures Animation’s The Mitchells vs. the Machines were shut out at the awards.

Winners have been announced for the 20th annual VES Awards, which recognize outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in film, animation, television, commercials, and video games. The Visual Effects Society ceremony took place yesterday evening at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
